
Professor James Stevens Curl's "The Life & Work of Thomas Downes Wilmot Dearn (1777-1853)" is accepting subscriptions now!
This new book will deal sensitively with Dearn's connections with the Royal Family and with his life and work spent in and around Cranbrook during the first five decades of the 19th century.
Professor Emeritus James Stevens Curl is the author of numerous scholarly books. In 2017 he was awarded the President’s Medal of the British Academy for ‘outstanding service to the cause of the humanities’ in recognition of his ‘contribution to the wider study of the History of Architecture in Britain and Ireland’. He is a Member of the Royal Irish Academy, and a Fellow of the Societies of Antiquaries of London and of Scotland.
